Angkor Hospital for Children
Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) is a charitable organization in Siem Reap, Cambodia, founded in 1999 through the efforts of acclaimed photographer Kenro Izu.
According to the latest statistics, 1 of every 20 children in Cambodia dies before his or her 5th birthday, often from treatable and/or preventable illness. Although their standard of living is steadily improving, Cambodians still suffer from endemic poverty. Therefore, AHC provides outpatient, inpatient, intensive, surgical, and HIV care, as well as other services, free of charge. Those patients or families who can afford to make small contribution are asked to do so. Over 120,000 Cambodian children are cared for at AHC every year.

Our hospital also supports greater Cambodian health care self-sufficiency through its Medical Education Center (MEC). AHC was officially recognized as a teaching hospital by the government of Cambodia in 2005. The MEC provides high quality training and education to hundreds of Cambodian nurses and doctors each year. In addition, AHC serves as a training site for the World Health Organization’s Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses Program (IMCI).

We also provide community outreach in a variety of ways, including our HIV/Homecare, Capacity Building and Health Education, and Nutrition programs. By supporting patients, families, and healthcare workers in their own communities, AHC helps to achieve sustainable, positive change.
Our conviction that every child has the right to a healthy and loving life is the founding principle of the hospital. AHC pursues that belief by providing nurturing pediatric care, medical education, and community outreach services. Through healing children, preventing disease, and training health professionals, we seek to create a better future for all Cambodians.

Green Gecko Project
As part of our commitment to the local community, Navutu Dreams is proud to support our neighbours and friends at the Green Gecko Project.
The Green Gecko Project supports more than 70 children who previously lived and begged on the streets of Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Green Gecko provides security, education, love and opportunities to these children through their formative years and into their adult lives, empowering them to achieve their full potential.

The project also supports the children's families and the broader community through long term health, education and training initiatives.
If you would like to learn more about Green Gecko's work, their centre is just down the road! You can visit during their visiting hour (Monday-Friday, 9.30am-10.30am).
